Network Marketing: Network Marketing companies like; ACN, Herbalife, Tupperware, Amway, Avon, etc., have good, bad and ugly traits.  There is "always" a complex compensation plan associated . Many companies use this model because of the "self-consumption" requirements, which are in the process of being outlawed! Most of the 40,000 people that join Network Marketing companies daily, because they have been deceived to believe that they are going to get rich quickly and solve all of their financial woes! We have the data to prove the bad traits of Network Marketing here. It is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of the other salespeople that they recruit. This recruited sales force is referred to as the participant's "downline". RECRUITING IS REQUIRED. There are 5 Red Flags to assist you with identifying Network Marketing companies as per the research of Dr. Jon Taylor:

#1: Endless chain of recruitment.

#2: Advancement by Recruitment.

#3: “Pay to play” purchases.

#4: “The upline gets most of the rewards.

#5: Five or more levels in the pay plan.

If all 5 Read Flags are present, we recommend that you steer clear because the association with a Network Marketing company "will" adversely affect your personal credibility. NOTE: Multi-Level Marketing is a compensation plan.

Referral Marketing: The oldest form of promoting Products & Services is through, WORD-OF-MOUTH.  When you think about it, most of us REFER friends, family and acquaintances to all kinds of Products and Services all the time, typically for FREE.  A few examples: Movies, Restaurants, etc.  The internet has made it easy to track REFERRALS hence; everyone can participate without being a great salesperson.  It is easy to GET PAID for all REFERRALS! THERE IS NO RECRUITING REQUIRED.

 Direct Selling: A retail channel for the distribution of goods and services. At a basic level it may be defined as marketing and selling products, direct to consumers away from a fixed retail location. Sales are typically made through party plans, one to one demonstrations, and other personal contact arrangements. A text book definition is: "The direct personal presentation, demonstration, and sale of products and services to consumers, usually in their homes or at their jobs. THERE IS NO RECRUITING REQUIRED.

 Affiliate Marketing: The internet has made it easy to track REFERRALS hence, the introduction of internet Affiliate programs. is one of the earliest companies that have been known to offer a percentage of a sale to any affiliate that REFERS someone to the AMAZON.COM website to make a purchase. THERE IS NO RECRUITING REQUIRED.
